We believe that there is one God in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, but there is only one God,
not three. This Triune God is sovereign over all things, ruling all areas of life with love,
wisdom, and righteousness.

We believe in God the Father, who has created all things out of nothing. God continues to
uphold and preserve the world. He reveals Himself in His creation through His protective
care for everything.

God has always been and will always be active in His world. He neither abandoned it after
its creation nor after it was broken by humanity’s fall into sin. Instead, God promised to
redeem His creation and restore it to perfection, completing His original plan for His
world.

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, the clearest revelation of the God’s
nature and character. Though the Son is God from before time, He humbled Himself and
entered time by being born of the virgin Mary. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human.

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. He taught and modeled a full and complete human life.
Jesus showed us how God has created us to live and thrive as God’s image-bearers, His
representatives. Jesus did miracles, healed those who were sick, and showed love and
concern for those who were ignored. In all these things, Jesus showed that God is with us.

Jesus suffered, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose after three days for the salvation
of His people. Through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, the powers of death and evil
are defeated, the sins of God’s people are forgiven, and the love of God is displayed.

Now Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, has ascended to the right hand of God the
Father, where He rules as Lord and King of all.

At the end of all things, Jesus Christ will return as Judge of the living and the dead,
bringing perfect justice and mercy. Then all evil, brokenness, and suffering will be set
right. God’s kingdom will have fully come, and God’s people will dwell forever in God’s
presence.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who has been active in God’s world since creation but
was poured out anew on God’s people at Pentecost.

The Spirit spoke through God’s prophets as recorded in the Bible, God’s Word for us.
Through the Spirit God continues to call His people and bring them to rebirth as part of
one holy catholic and apostolic church, the body of Christ in the world.

God’s Spirit is always present with His people. He sets us apart in baptism, nourishes us in
the Lord’s Supper, fills and blesses us with gifts, and enables us to respond to God’s grace
with grateful living. God uses His Spirit-empowered people as He continues to work out
His mission of reconciling all things to Himself in Jesus Christ.

The Spirit continues to transform His people, uniting us to Jesus Christ and making us
more like Him, and the Spirit helps us understand the things Jesus Christ taught. The Spirit
gives us the assurance and hope that we, both body and soul, will be resurrected for eternal
life with God.
